Nurturing the Whole Child
PP1 is a critical milestone at Mizizi Academy. Our program is designed to ease children into formal learning environments while ensuring their emotional and spiritual needs are met. We focus on developing the seven core competencies of the CBC framework, including communication, collaboration, and structured early analytical thinking.
Core Learning Areas
Mathematical Activities
Sorting objects by color, size, and shape; matching pairs; and rote counting (reciting numbers 1–10).
Language & Literacy
Auditory discrimination (distinguishing between sounds), visual discrimination (spotting differences in shapes/colors), and oral expression.
Religious Education
Learning that they are unique and loved. They learn simple religious songs and stories that emphasize being "good boys and girls" at home and school.
Creative Arts
Exploring materials. It’s about the creative process, not just the result (e.g., "squishing" clay rather than making a perfect pot structure).
